A question for equipment manufacturers and ETSO holders who participated to Toulouse for the Aerospace Test & Development Show just few days ago: once a qualification test campaign wraps, how does that evidence actually get into your compliance matrix?
In a lot of organisations, the honest answer is: someone reads the test report afterwards and manually transcribes the relevant results against each requirement. It works, but it's slow, it's easy to get subtly wrong, and it means the compliance matrix is always a step behind the actual test programme, updated in a batch, days or weeks after the results existed.
The alternative is treating the test campaign as a live input to the compliance record from the start: each test case linked to the specific requirement it's meant to substantiate, so a pass or fail updates the compliance picture directly rather than waiting for someone to write it up and someone else to file it.
It's worth asking the vendors on the test-and-measurement side the same question you'd ask a compliance tool: how does this data get from the rig to the requirement, and how long does that take?
Is your test evidence linked to requirements live, or reconciled afterwards?
